LeBron James Jr. will take the basketball court at St. Vincent-Mary High School competitively after all.

James, known as “Bronny,” will participate in The Battle Basketball Showcase July 2-4 in LeBron James Arena at the school.

The event, organized by NBA player Danny Green — who played with the elder LeBron James on the Cavs and Los Angeles Lakers — features elite AAU basketball teams, including James Jr.’s Strive for Greatness unit, which was created by his father.

It will showcase a number of Division I recruits, including Bowen Hardman (Cincinnati), an Ohio State commit, along with and Gabe Cupps of Centerville, an Ohio State target and Josiah Harris of Richmond Heights, a West Virginia commit.

James Jr. plays for Sierra Canyon High School in California. Various scouting lists have him pegged as a four-star recruit. According to reports, he holds an official offer from the University of Kentucky. Many have speculated that his father would like to end his career by being able to play with his son in the NBA.

"That's definitely one of my goals, but that's a long-term goal,” James said earlier this year. “My son right now is in high school and enjoying what being a teenager is all about. But that would be pretty cool to go on my resume.”

General admission tickets are $25 and are currently on sale at thebattleofficial.com.
