The Bible is God’s truth on religious history and the everlasting morals we should live by. Man can know God’s truth about pleasing God about life. If the Bible can serve up correct knowledge, then Bible knowledge can be known and that makes us responsibility-wise to God. Christ said once, “ye shall know the truth” (John 8:32) and then added that His truth “thy word is truth” (John 17:17).

You can study (not just read) the Bible and not know all it contains. But we must study it correctly or we will get wrong information (II Tim. 2:15). If we take some subject matter out of its context, we get error. We have many false religions in the world because certain passages have been used wrongly. Some first century Jews were wrong about the resurrection in talk-to Christ and he answered “ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God” (Matthew 22:29). There are different ways of twisting scripture and twisting scripture is a bad business to be in (Galatians 1:6-12; Revelation 22:18, 19).

The word of God as to what God wants is absolute and unchangeable (Like 1:3, 4; Hebrews 13:8). We are not amendable to some things of the Old Testament but obeying is one thing we learn throughout in serving God. Loving God is the first (Mark 12:30). Being willing to do so is required (II Corinthians 8:12). Humility is always a need (Romans 12:#). Belief/faith is vital (Hebrews 11:3). Repentance can’t be left out (Acts 17:30). And water baptism saves and is for remission of sins or we have lost our mind (Acts 2:38; I Peter 3:21). God’s Word is His truth unto redemption, you and I can know it, and be saved from our sins. “For I know in whom I have believed...”
