On Oct. 16, I attended the Sustainable Cleveland 2019 Summit, celebrating 10 years of environmental accomplishments and setting new priorities for the Cleveland Climate Action Plan.
For me, the summit encapsulated what is great about our city, a progressive spirit committed to economic growth built on social and environmental justice.
While I’m thrilled to live in a city committed to a greener future, climate change demands swifter and more sweeping actions to limit gas emissions. The H.R.763-Energy Innovation and Carbon Dividend Act of 2019 offers the most compelling and actionable forward path toward clean energy.
Cleveland is a leader in environmental protection and will continue to fight. This is the Cleveland way.
Senators Rob Portman and Sherrod Brown, please support this bill. It is time to rally again for our city, for Ohio and the rest of the world.
