If you have some of the following symptoms — fatigue, fever or chills, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, muscle or body aches, sore throat, congestion or runny nose — you may be getting COVID-19!

I am now 94 years old and it is my turn to vent my rage and despair. I reside in an assisted-living facility with another 100-plus “living dead” residents. You will possibly move to an assisted-living facility and you will remain until “you rest in peace.” The problem is there are fewer and fewer such because fewer and fewer of them are being built. Where will the younger generation live when they can no longer take care of themselves? With their children? With their parents? With their grandparents? Time to correct this situation is rapidly coming to a close.

In the meantime, we continue to suffer from the consequences of COVID-19. When will everyone open their eyes and finally wear face masks? The President, governors, senators, Congressmen, White House staff members, news reporters and many others did not wear face masks and you are well aware of the result. Do you wear a face mask?

President Donald Trump returned to the White House and immediately had a “photo opp” where he took off his face mask and said,”We have nothing to fear from “OVIRUS-19” — the virus. He was nervous, his face was drawn and he was unsteady. If President

Trump does not win the upcoming presidential election, he — and his close friend Benjamin Netanyahu - Prime Minister of Israel — will face a variety of criminal  charges which may land them in jail.

Mitch McConnell, Repubican and majority leader of the Senate, is up for re-election and he is also a friend of  President Trump.

The U.S. has abandoned most of the countries in the Middle East.

The following is from the Washington Post:

After taking credit for the opening of diplomatic relations between Israel and the United Arab Emirates, the Trump administration suffered a humiliating reverse at the U.N. Security Council that was, in some ways, more telling about the results of its Middle East policies. The United States asked the council to approve an extension of the 13-year-old embargo on arms trade with Iran — something that matters greatly to Israel, the U.S. and Arab allies and which most of the democratic world favors. Yet only one member of the 15-member council, the Dominican Republic, sided with Washington. Russia and China opposed the motion, while 11 countries — including Britain, France and Germany — abstained.

Following are comments from Europe on the virus epidemic in the U.S.:

When the virus first appeared in the United States, Trump and his supporters quickly dismissed it as either a “hoax” or a virus that would quickly disappear once warmer weather arrives. At one point, Trump suggested that ultraviolet light or injecting disinfectants would eradicate the virus. He later said he was being facetious.

Trump is blaming China, where the virus was first detected, for America’s problems and saying the U.S. numbers are so high because there is so much testing. Trump supporters and Americans who have refused to wear masks against all medical advice back that line.

In the U.S., new cases run at about 54,000 a day – an immensely higher number even when taking into account its larger population. And while that’s down from a peak of well over 70,000 last month, cases are rising in nearly 20 states, and deaths are climbing in most.

Ah, yes — and what is going on in China, Japan, North and South Korea, and in South America? Sorry, no updated news until next yeat.
