Many in America have lost their way with the medical, financial, social and misguided priorities driving them to the brink of madness. Most do not take time to reflect on the Christian heritage which made our nation the greatest in the world.

Many admired the life of the best known evangelist in our time — the Rev. Billy Graham. Even though he is enjoying the fruits of his labors now in his Heavenly home, his message of salvation lives on through the Eternal Word of God. Thousands were touched by his preaching and their lives were changed forever. For in Jesus Christ lies all the secrets to the universe, the origin of life, and the solution ot all your problems!

Won’t you and your family take a moment this 4th of July to reflect on the blessings we enjoy due to our Lord working through our founding fathers? (Mt. 11:28-29)

In 1776, there was signed in the City of Philadelphia one of America’s historic documents: the Declaration of Independence. It marked the birth of our nation which, under God, was destined for world leadership. We often forget that, in declaring independence from an earthly power, our forefathers made a forthright declaration upon Almighty God. They solemnly declare: “with a firm reliance on the protection of Divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our lives, our fortunes, and our sacred honor.”

These 56 courageous men who signed that document understood that it could cost them everything. We must never forget their mutual sacrifices. Few were long to survive. Five were captured and tortured before they died. Twelve lost their homes to the British or were burned. Two lost their sons in the army. One had two sons captured. Nine died in the war, from hardship or bullets. Our founding fathers were men of means and lived in luxury as wealthy landowners. So you see they had much to lose and they sacrificed it all because they love our country!

Someone has said “to be born free is a privilege. To die free is an awesome responsibility.” Freedom is never free. It is always purchased at great cost!

Billy Graham shared often “What will you do with Jesus Christ?” (Lu: 8:28) Christ died, so you wouldn’t have to. (Rom 5:8) He is the reason our nation has been so blessed. Our founding fathers placed their in Him, won’t you? (John 3:16)

“Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord.” (Psalm 33:12)

Fly your flag and enjoy your 4th America! We have a lot to be thankful for!
