The whole attempt to impeach President Trump by these Dems is a load of garbage. They just can’t stand the fact that Trump beat Hillary Clinton. It’s obvious that the Dems will never admit the fact that Trump has done more good for this country than Barack Obama could have ever dreamed of doing.

I found the article titled “AACS opposes sale to charter school” in a recent edition of the Star Beacon to be more of an advertorial for a public institution than a news story. To be clear, my wife and I are financial supporters of AACS by way of federal, state and local taxes. We have alwa…
Most rat and mouse poison kills more than rats and mice. Poison kills birds of prey like bald eagles, red-tail hawks, cooper hawks, kestrels and owls — all of which call Ashtabula County home. These poisons also could kill the family pet cat or dog.
Jeff and I would like to give a big THANK YOU to every who helped in any way with the benefit and silent auction held Oct. 19, 2019 at Jefferson United Methodist Church to help with the mounting medical bills Jeff as from hospital stays and surgeries. He still has more surgeries to come, but…
Something — and I don’t know what that something is because, hey, it’s not my job — must be done to ensure the safety of pedestrians in crosswalks on Bridge Street.
My family and I would like to express our thanks for the outpouring of honor, remembrance, and patriotism shown to our son-in-law, Sgt. Thomas C. Walker; and for the support and comfort given by the entire community to our daughter, and Cole’s widow, Taylor Walker. It was an honor to accompa…
On Oct. 16, I attended the Sustainable Cleveland 2019 Summit, celebrating 10 years of environmental accomplishments and setting new priorities for the Cleveland Climate Action Plan.
I would like to send out a special thank you to the individuals who assisted making the dedication of my brother’s memorial plaque at the Conneaut Stadium Sept. 6. It was a pleasant and memorable experience for my family and myself.
Billions of years in the making, but when trees branched off from the tree of life, life for us was possible. And later, when Chimpanzees did the same, were were on the horizon. We humans still retain over 25% of the DNA of trees and 99% of the Chimpanzee’s DNA (our closest relative). These …
Donald Trump stated he was “The Chosen One.” God help us all. As “American Pie” rhymed “The three men of I admire most, the Father Son and the Holy Ghost, they took the first train for the coast the day the music died.” Will you dance to Donald’s tune? Or ask the Trinity to take Donald with …
One in four women and one in seven men will be victims of domestic violence at some point in their life. On top of the abuse, 60% of these victims will lose their job as a direct result of this violence. This is because on average an individual experiencing domestic violence will miss about …
I wasn’t around at the time, but I am sure Ohio politicians did not consider bail outs for other failing technologies. I am sure a lot of ice companies went out of business when refrigerators were invented; what about the kerosene lamp and buggy whip companies. Coal and nuclear power plants …
Apparently I’m too dumb to understand people with smart phones. I have a flip phone with a slide-out keypad. To me that’s a new-fangled gadget, and, yes, the keypad is pretty slick.
I’d like to use this forum to express my gratitude to the Coast Guard, the gentleman running the boat launch at Lakeshore Park, and the man in the kayak that helped bring both of my children (ages 8 and 12) to shore after they drifted too far out in the lake on paddleboards, the morning of S…
Democrat Elizabeth Warren has introduced a bill to excuse billions of dollars worth of college debt for people who owed but never intended to repay if they could avoid it.
For all I know, this could fall on deaf ears. Many of our country’s youth don’t pick up the newspaper anymore to get information. Everything is learned through social media and news is absorbed through online platforms.
