SAYBROOK TOWNSHIP — A woman was seriously injured Saturday night when her car hit a westbound train, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
The crash occurred at about 11:30 p.m. at the CSX railroad crossing at New London and Depot roads, according to an OHP report.
The woman, name and address unknown, was flown by medical helicopter to a Cleveland hospital.
The north-side crossing was damaged in the crash.
CSX Railroad shut the crossing down until 5:30 a.m. Sunday to clear the scene, according to dispatcher reports.
