SHERIFF

A man and woman were issued summons’ for theft Nov. 3 at 2 p.m. at Walmart, Ashtabula Township.

 

A man was stopped for traffic violations Nov. 4 at 3:31 a.m. at North Monroe Center Road and Church Street, Monroe Township, and his female passenger was found with illegal narcotics.

 

A boy, 15,  at Lakeside High School, was accused Nov. 4 at 1:33 p.m. of hugging a girl and then putting both of his hands down her pants.

 

A man was cited on a drunken driving charge Nov. 6 at 10:06 p.m. at Stanhope Kelloggsville Road and Woodworth Road, Wayne Township.

 

Car theft was reported Oct. 31 at 11:26 a.m. in the 1200 block of state Route 307 West, Jefferson Township.

 

A man was admitted to a hospital Nov. 7 at 10:47 a.m. in the 200 block of Viking Avenue, Andover Township, after making homicidal threats toward his father.

JEFFERSON

An unruly juvenile complaint was reported Oct. 15 at 12:14 p.m. at Jefferson Elementary School.

 

Telephone harassment was reported Oct. 17 at 7 a.m. at Jefferson Area High School.

 

A driver was cited with fictitious plates Oct. 17 at East Beech Street and North Chestnut Street.

 

A man was found dead Oct. 17 at a home on West Walnut Street at 2:54 p.m. after a call came in for a welfare check. No foul play is suspected.

 

A large quantity of marijuana was found during a traffic stop of a man driving with no rear plate light Oct. 18 at 10:22 p.m. Police seized and destroyed the marijuana and gave the driver a verbal warning about his plate light.

 

A narcotics investigation was conducted Oct. 19 at 12:21 p.m. in the 100 block of South Chestnut Street.

 

People were given verbal warnings Oct. 20 at 2:42 p.m. after a marijuana smoking pipe was found during a traffic stop at North Elm and West Jefferson Streets. The paraphernalia was taken and destroyed.

 

A man was arrested on a warrant and taken to the county jail Oct. 20 at 3:10 p.m. after a traffic stop at Route 307 and South Spruce Street.

 

A man was arrested on a warrant and taken to the county jail Oct. 20 at 10:08 a.m. at South Market and East Mulberry Streets.

ASHTABULA 

Criminal damaging was reported in the 1600 block of West Fourth Street at 8:22 a.m. Thursday.
