Pair join National Honor Society

Geneva High School seniors Cassidy Bruinsma and April Hanchosky are Geneva High School’s newest National Honor Society members.

GENEVA — Geneva High School seniors Cassidy Bruinsma and April Hanchosky were recently selected for the National Honor Society.

Hanchosky is a four-year member of the cross country and swim teams and also runs track. She has performed in GHS Thespians productions and is active in Fellowship of Christian Athletes. She will attend Grove City College, where she plans to major in biology and wants to become a dentist. She is the daughter of Alice and Bill Hanchosky.

Bruinsma is a member of the cross country, track and swim teams and is active in Philanthropy Club, Key Club and Steering Committee. She was the 2018 Miss Winterfest Queen. She plans to attend Bowling Green State University where she will study dietetics and nutrition and foods. She is the daughter of Rick and Sherry Bruinsma.

Hanchosky and Bruinsma will be formally inducted as members of National Honor Society at a ceremony in the spring. They join Chapter President Natalie Frank, Vice President Emilee Smith, Secretary Audra Lininger, Treasurer Vonda Harold, Historian Annika Dudik and second-year members Kaitlyn Carson, Anna Pascoe, Mikayla Watts, Gabe Jones, Giuseppe Pilumeli, Alexandru Lechintan, Jason Corlew, Nicholas Drees, Rachel Drees, Isaac Palinkas and Marissa Covetta.
