WAYNE TOWNSHIP — No one was injured Friday in a collision that left a horse dead and a buggy demolished.
Two women were in the buggy heading west on Route 322 around 6:30 p.m. just east of Williamsfield Valley Veneer when a truck attempted to pass them and the horse went left-of-center and ran into the vehicle, according to Ohio State Highway Patrol Lt. Tina Jackson.
“The horse just went left of center and darted into the truck,” Jackson said. “There were two women inside. They were both OK.”
Jackson said the accident could have been much worse, and thankfully no one was injured.
Men came to the area after the accident and lifted the horse and buggy on to a flatbed truck and cleaned up the area.
