Grand jury indictments

Jason Woodstock Greggs of 104 E. Erie St., Painesville, was indicted on having weapons while under disability, a third-degree felony; aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony; possession of heroin, a fifth-degree felony; falsification, a first-degree misdemeanor; and illegal use or possession of drug paraphernalia, a fourth-degree misdemeanor.

Greggs is accused of carrying a .357 magnum revolver and a .22 caliber rifle Feb. 27 in Saybrook Township while having been previously convicted of a drug felony. He is accused of making a false statement to law enforcement that his truck had been stolen and possessing or using .34 gram of heroin, less than .1 gram of Schedule II methamphetamine plus a glass pipe for drugs in Saybrook.

 

David J. Weaver of 841 Thayer Ave., Ashtabula, was indicted on possession of cocaine, a fifth-degree felony; driving under suspended license, a first-degree misdemeanor; illegal use or possession of drug paraphernalia, a fourth-degree misdemeanor; and violation of tail light and illumination of rear license plate requirements, a minor misdemeanor.

Weaver is accused of operating a motor vehicle while under driving suspension, lacking tail light illumination, possessing a scouring pad and glass pipe used for drugs and possessing or using less than .1 gram of cocaine March 3 in Saybrook Township.

 

Benjamin Ross Tressler of 712 W. 58th St., Ashtabula, was indicted on aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony; possessing criminal tools, a fifth-degree felony; and illegal use or possession of drug paraphernalia, a fourth-degree misdemeanor.

Tressler is accused of possessing digital scales and glass pipes used for drugs plus possessing or using .18 gram of Schedule II methamphetamine Feb. 9 in Ashtabula township.

 

Eric Angra of 4058 Wingate Court, Ashtabula, was indicted on possession of fentanyl-related compound, possession of heroin, and two counts of aggravated possession of drugs, all fifth-degree felonies.

Angra is accused of possessing or using Schedule II 6-MAM, fentanyl, heroin, and less than .1 gram of Schedule II methamphetamine Feb. 23 in Saybrook Township.

Angra was also indicted on two counts of receiving stolen property, a fifth-degree felony and a first-degree misdemeanor.

Angra is accused of knowingly receiving or disposing of a man’s stolen debit/credit cards, cash and purse on March 15 in Ashtabula Township.

 

Joseph J. Smith of 509 Chestnut St., Conneaut, was indicted on domestic violence, a third-degree felony; disrupting public services, a fourth-degree felony; and domestic violence, a first-degree misdemeanor.

Smith is accused of threatening, attempting or causing physical harm to a female household member while having been previously been convicted of two domestic violence felony offenses and also of damaging or tampering with the victim’s telephone April 4 in Conneaut.

 

Jacob A. Stewart of 5116 Summer Ave., Ashtabula, was indicted on three counts of aggravated trafficking in drugs, a first-degree, third-degree and fourth-degree felony; and aggravated possession of drugs, a second-degree felony.

Stewart is accused of offering to sell or selling 1.84 grams of Schedule II methamphetamine Sept. 13; preparing 19.83 grams of Schedule II methamphetamine for distribution while in the vicinity of a child under 6 years old Sept. 25; and selling or offering to sell 3.5 grams of Schedule II methamphetamine on Feb. 7 in Ashtabula.

 

Gregory Scott O’Brien of 150 Riverside Drive, Ashtabula, was indicted on felonious assault, a second-degree felony; aggravated assault, a fourth-degree misdemeanor; and domestic violence, a first-degree misdemeanor.

O’Brien is accused of causing or attempting to cause physical harm to a woman of his household with a motor vehicle while under a sudden passion or fit of rage brought on by serious provocation occasioned by the victim that was reasonably sufficient to incite the person into using deadly force March 25 in Ashtabula Township.

 

Sherry Ann McGill of 2395 Route 6, Rome, was indicted on having weapons while under disability, a third-degree felony.

McGill is accused of having a .22 caliber revolver on March 2 in Cherry Valley township while having been previously convicted of a drug felony.

 

Christopher A. Berg of 3603 Jefferson Road, Ashtabula, was indicted on two counts of domestic violence, both third-degree felonies.

Berg is accused of causing or attempting to cause physical harm to two male household members April 6 in Saybrook Township while having been previously convicted of a domestic violence felony offense.

 

Kim Lee Camire of 431 Harbor St., Conneaut, was indicted on failure to comply with order or signal of police officer, a third-degree felony; obstructing official business, a fifth-degree felony; operating a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol, a drug of abuse, or a combination of them, a first-degree misdemeanor; and disorderly conduct, a fourth-degree misdemeanor.

Camire is accused of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or drugs and in such a way so as to willfully elude or flee a police officers after receiving a signal to stop and causing inconvenience or alarm to them by persistently and recklessly engaging in violent behavior or threatening harm to persons or property April 14 in Conneaut.

 

Troy C. Phillips of 2081 Mini Ranch Trail, Geneva, was indicted on assault, a fifth-degree felony.

Phillips is accused of knowingly causing or attempting to cause physical harm to an Ashtabula County Adult Parole officer Sept. 13 in Ashtabula.

 

Jermel Vaughn Manley, Jr., of 2732 S. County Line Road, Madison, was indicted on aggravated trafficking in drugs, a fourth-degree felony; trafficking in heroin, a fifth-degree felony; and falsification, a first-degree misdemeanor.

Manley, Jr., is accused of knowingly selling or offering to sell .55 gram of Schedule II fentanyl/heroin and providing law enforcement with a false identity June 24, 2018, in Ashtabula Township. Money in the amount of $369.55 will be subject to forfeiture.

 

Morgan Ann Fassett of 512 Peacock Lane, Roaming Shores, was indicted on aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony, and possession of drugs, a first-degree misdemeanor.

Fassett is accused of possessing or using less than .1 gram of Schedule II fentanyl and Schedule IV tramadol Oct. 7 in Austinburg Township.

 

James J. Cipra of 5831 Route 322, Williamsfield, was indicted on aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony.

Cipra is accused of possessing or using .18 gram of Schedule II methamphetamine Oct. 5 in Dorset Township.

 

Desiree Reed of 408 Blaine St., Geneva, was indicted on aggravated trafficking in drugs, a fourth-degree felony; aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony; trafficking in drugs, a fifth-degree felony; possessing criminal tools, a fifth-degree felony; three counts of possession of drugs, all first-degree misdemeanors; and possessing drug abuse instruments, a second-degree misdemeanor.

Reed is accused of possessing six .5 mg Schedule IV clonazepam, 47 1 mg diazepam, two 2 mg clonazepam tablets, one 5 mg diazepam tablet, three 10 mg Schedule IV zolpidem tablets plus a digital scale, syringes and baggies used for drugs and preparing 2.25 grams of Schedule II methamphetamine for distribution Sept. 9 in Geneva Township. Money in the amount of $628 will be subject to forfeiture.
