JEFFERSON — A man accused of a murder in Saybrook Township in early June has been indicted on additional charges, according to a statement from the Ashtabula County Prosecutor’s Office.
Police were called to a home on Dunbar Avenue near midnight on June 2, according to a statement from the prosecutor’s office. Sheriff’s deputies found Paul Ruffo at the location, with a stab wound in his side. Ruffo was pronounced dead on the scene, according to the statement.
John Rose was arrested and charged with one count of murder on June 3, according to court records.
Last week, Rose was indicted by the a grand jury on one count of aggravated murder, two counts of murder, all three of which are unclassified felonies, and felonious assault, a second degree felony.
Rose is alleged to have killed Ruffo with prior calculation and design, according to the statement.
If found guilty, Rose could face a life sentence, according to the statement.
