For nearly three months yellow tape covered area playgrounds as Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine’s public health rules kept children from their favorite swings, sliding boards and teeter-totters.
The playgrounds are now open and children are catching up with the fun from Conneaut to Orwell and Andover to Geneva.
Kelly Micsky, of Geneva, said she was very happy the playgrounds reopened in mid-June.
“The kids are driving us crazy,” she said with a laugh while watching them play at Memorial Field playground in Geneva on Thursday morning.
Lake Shore and Conneaut Township parks are also popular places for children to play and parents to get a bit of a break from in-house parenting.
