ASHTABULA — A city woman is in custody after the Ashtabula Police Department assisted on an arrest following a shooting in Elyria, said Ashtabula Police Chief Robert Stell.
Stell said the department was involved in the arrest before 7:30 a.m. on Saturday in Ashtabula. He said Brea Holley, 27, is in custody in the Ashtabula Jail.
Several Cleveland television stations, including Channel 3, reported that Holley was charged with murder following an incident around 10:47 p.m. on Friday evening after one shot was allegedly fired on Beebee Avenue in Elyria.
Channel 3 also reported a 29-year-old female died as a result of a gunshot wound. Stell could not confirm the charges
Representatives of the Elyria Police Department said there would be no information available until Monday morning. The Lorain County Coroner referred all calls to the Elyria Police Department.
