GENEVA-ON-THE-LAKE - - Overcast skies could not daunt the summertime spirit of the crowd inside Eddies Grill.

The traditional hot spot along the famous Geneva-on-the-Lake "strip," still boasts of excellent foot-long hot dogs, hamburgers, french fries, fish and coleslaw.

"Ive been in business for 57 years," said Eddie Sezon, who took over the eatery for his parents when he was 17 years old.

"The whole family worked in the business all the time," he said.

Today, family still works together to make Eddies one the most beloved summer traditional fun spots in the area.

Sezons daughter, Jennifer Sezon-Brugger drives everyday all summer to work at Eddies Grill.

"It has been fun growing up around Eddies, I have learned a lot over the years," she said.

While on vacation, the Lafollette family of Fairmont, W. Va., stopped by Eddies Grill for a fun lunch before resuming their days activities.

"We saw it (Eddies Grill) while strolling the strip the other day and decided to stop in for lunch," J.P. said.

"We are having a really good time," Courtney said.

On their way to a game of Putt Putt, Craig Breedlove and daughters, Lynsie, 15, Mackenzie, 10, and Morgan, 6, of Madison, stopped by Eddies Grill for cheeseburgers, footlongs and fries.

"We stop by two or three times a summer," Craig said. "We love the 50s atmosphere and music."

Having a blast for a second summer in a row as an Eddies Grill employee is Daniela Fasano, 16, of Ashtabula.

"It is fun! Everybody here is fun and you get to see everybody," she said.

Ron and Lila Geisler of Ashtabula are regulars at Eddies Grill all summer long.

"We come whenever he wants to," said Lila with a smile.

"Which is at least two times a week," Ron said.
