ASHTABULAItalian Sons and Daughters of America monthly meeting will be 10 a.m. Aug. 19 at the Elks Lodge #208, 3115 Lake Road W. Breakfast buffet reservations are needed by Aug. 16. Guests are welcome. Call Jean (John J. Meola) or Gerry Notter to make reservations.

Bariatric Weight Loss Surgery Ashtabula Sup-port Group will meet 6:30 p.m. today (second Thurs-day of the month) at Harbor Topky Memorial Library, 1633 Walnut Blvd. The topic will be food addictions. For more information email, wls ashtabula@adelphia.net

ROCK CREEK

Sacred Heart Church, 3409 N. Main St., will distribute school supplies to those in need in the Rock Creek area, 9 a.m. to noon Saturday and Monday. Donations of school supplies may be made by dropping them off at the church.

CONNEAUT

The Conneaut Area Historical Society's annual picnic will be 5:30 p.m. Aug. 28 at Conneaut Township Park, upper pavilion, with dinner at 6 p.m. Those attending should bring a dish to pass. Tableservice, coffee and pop will be provided. Gary Coxon, Park Com-mission president, will give a history of Conneaut Township Park. All members and guests are invited.



ANDOVERVeterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary 9519 is sponsoring a bus trip to Seneca Niagara Falls, N.Y., on Aug. 14. Cost is $30 per person. For more information, contact D. (Donald) Overly of Andover.

Pymatuning Valley Primary School is looking for volunteers to practice reading with a child under the OhioReads program. Training will be given. The program begins at the end of September for all new tutors. Call Sandy (A.) John of Andover to volunteer or for more information.
