A reunion will be held in September for the crew of the USS Kleinsmith which was docked at Pinney Dock in June 1959 as part of Operation Inland Seas Celebration. Lake Shore Artists will meet for a picnic 6 p.m. Aug. 10 at Geneva Township Park, 5045 Lake Road. Bring the family, tableservice, a covered dish and beverage. Prior to the picnic, members are invited to visit Justin Derrico's gallery at 7242 Lake Road.

Homesafe's sixth annual "Girls Rock My Space" seminar will be 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Aug. 18 at Lake Shore Park main pavilion. Teen girls will learn how to keep safe on the Internet plus fun activities. There will be pizza, snacks and prizes. Call the Domestic Violence Shelter to register or arrive early to register.

RMI Sodium picnic will be noon to 3 p.m. Aug. 25 at the East Ashtabula Club, 2323 Columbus Ave. Drawing will be at 2 p.m. All past and present employees, spouses and friends welcome. The 19th annual Ashtabula Bow Socket/ Ashtabula Forge potluck picnic is 6:30 p.m. Aug. 14 at Lake Shore Park, pavilion at the State Road entrance. Bring a dish to share and table settings. Bereavement Support Group, sponsored by Behm Family Funeral Homes, will meet 5 p.m. Aug. 13 at Eddie's Grill, Geneva-onthe-Lake. For more information, contact the funeral home. All are welcome. There is no charge.


Boy Scout Troop 197 of the Burton-Troy area are looking for crafters and consultants for a fair 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sept. 22 at Troy Community Center, 13950 Main Market Road. Proceeds benefit the scouts. For more information, contact Mary Dienes of Parkman.

Middlefield Library, 16167 E. High St., will hold two free sessions to learn the art of "quilling" 10 a.m. to noon and 1 to 3 p.m. Aug. 18. Rose Klouda will provide hands-on instruction.
