July 3 COMMUNITY events


The annual True Temper reunion potluck picnic will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Saybrook Township Park. Those attending should bring a covered dish to share and tablesettings. Coffee will be provided. All former employees, including office personnel and supervisors, and their families are welcome.


The monthly Astatic Retirees luncheon will be 12:30 p.m. today at Kay's Place, Kingsville. Guests are welcome.


Friends of Geneva Library will meet 7 p.m. today at the library. Prospective members are welcome.


The annual 4th of July parade and festivities on Thompson Square, Route 528 and Thompson Road, will begin at 11 a.m. Judging will be 10 a.m. at Ledgemont High School. The event will include children's games, library book sale, a rummage sale at Thompson United Methodist Church and barbecue ribs and chicken dinner at Grace Lutheran Church. Retiring Fire Chief Paul Robison will be honored. Festivities conclude by mid-afternoon.
