Free "Meals on the Avenue" will be held at New Hope Pentecostal Church, 5917 West Ave., 4 to 6 p.m. today through Friday (the last full week of every month). For more information, call the church.

NAACP, the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, will meet 6 p.m. Thursday at Peoples Baptist Church, 3837 West Ave. The public is welcome. For more information, contact George Wilson, president.

As a service project Girl Scout Troop 776 is collecting old prescription bottles for the Vials of Life program. Scouts will collect bottles 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the Ashtabula Mall and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. July 21 at Ashtabula Wal-Mart. Vials of Life contain vital information about a person, medical history, contact persons, etc., and are placed in a person's home where emergency medical services personnel can find them at the time of an emergency. Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary 9519 is sponsoring a bus trip to Seneca Niagara Falls, N.Y., on July 10, departing from Espyville, Pa., Andover and Kinsman. Cost is $30 per person. For more information, contact D. (Donald) Overly of Andover.


A Rayon reunion will be noon Thursday at Best Friends Family Rest-aurant, I-90 & Route 534. Bring something for a white elephant. All Rayon employees are welcome.
