• Charges are pending against a 28-year-old Ashtabula woman who last week reportedly took a debit card from her father’s Route 193 home in Kingsville Township, according to the Ashtabula County Sheriff’s Office.
The woman admitted to the crime, which was reported on Feb. 7, on Tuesday, deputies said. Friends of the woman used the car at a local bank ATM, and surveillance cameras provided a description of the vehicle that was stopped by a deputy in the area of Route 20 and North Bend Road, according to a report.
• Charges are pending against a 31-year-old Ashtabula man suspected of taking cash from a co-worker at the Applebee’s Restaurant in Ashtabula Township, deputies said.
Deputies were contacted around 8:30 p.m. Monday after the victim change purse, which contained the cash, turned up empty in the women’s rest room, according to a report.
• A 15-year-old Lakeside High School student faces charges after he reportedly threatened to shoot fellow students, deputies said. The boy lives in Ashtabula, according to a report.
• A burglar forced open a door and took a electronic notepad device from an Ashtabula Township residence Sunday morning while an occupant was sleeping with earphones in place, deputies said.
The Columbus Avenue resident told deputies he didn’t hear a thing, according to a report. The man’s wife discovered the theft around 10 a.m., upon returning home from a visit, deputies said.
