Lora M. Stegall

GENEVA —  Lora Mae Stegall, age 79, formerly of E. 14th St., went home to the arms of her loving Savior, Jesus Christ, Tuesday, Nov., 20, 2012, with her loving family at her side.

The daughter of John Henry and Electer (Edwards) Fuller, she was born on June 19, 1933, in Wheeling, W.Va.

Lora and Arthur T. Stegall Jr. were married on August 12, 1949, in Jefferson, Ohio. Arthur was sixteen and Lora was fifteen at the time of their marriage. For sixty-three years, they loved each other and raised their family. Through the ups and downs of life, they remained steadfast in their love for each other. Theirs was truly a marriage that was meant to be.

Lora was a wonderful pianist and organist, for many years she was the musician for New Hope Pentecostal Church, she considered her musical talent a gift from God and was pleased that she could share her gifts with others. A wonderful cook, baker, seamstress and gardener, she could do it all. Her spaghetti and meatballs were the family favorite. No one could make sweets like Lora; she was a wonderful seamstress, making clothes for her daughters and herself. She loved working in her flower gardens. The many flowers she grew brightened the neighborhood.

Lora will be remembered as a wonderful wife, mama and grandma, her love for her husband and children was unending. Her greatest joy came from encouraging and leading others to follow the teaching of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She lived her live as a model for others; never judging, always loving. She was not one to complain or speak ill of anyone.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Arthur T. Stegall Jr.; her three children, Arthur (Mary Williams) Stegall of Conneaut, Cynthia (Damien) Moyer of Ashtabula and Veronica (Don) Pearl of De Moines, Iowa; grandchildren, Jarvis Singletary, Vulnavia McMillion, Tamara Miller, John Singletary, Bryce Austin, Jarrett Sandidge, Donnell Pearl, Lora L. Stegall, Megan Williams and Katelyn Williams; many loving great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild; and nieces and nephews.
