ASHTABULA — Larry G. Bancroft, age 48, passed away Friday, Jan. 4, 2013, at the Hospice Unit of the Ashtabula County Medical Center, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born March 10, 1964, Larry was a 1983 graduate of Ashtabula High School who enjoyed spending time with his friends and family.
He held jobs as a skilled laborer at Molded Fiberglass, Carlisle Electric, and most recently, Pickens Plastics.
His hobbies included bicycling, watching movies, and recycling. He was always willing to lend a hand with whatever anybody needed help doing. Larry was loved by many and will be greatly missed.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard G. Bancroft and Marlene (Meek) Hammond.
He is survived by his step-father, Leroy Hammond; brothers, Ronnie (Rose) Bancroft and Johnny Hammond; sisters, Donna Green and Debbie Johnson; former companion, Cheryl Goebel; and many nieces and nephews, all of Ashtabula.
A Celebration of Life will be held 5 p.m., Monday, Jan. 7th, at the Pentecostal Church of God, 2201 Cook Road, Ashtabula, with the Rev. Kenneth Roberts officiating. Burial will take place at Greenlawn Memory Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family.
