CONNEAUT — N. Keith Anderson, age 89, of Lake Road, Conneaut, died peacefully on Saturday, Dec. 29, 2012, surrounded by his loving family.

Keith was born Dec. 5, 1923, in Conneaut, Ohio, to Charles E. and Lovilla (Veith) Anderson. He graduated from Rowe High School, Class of 1942 and was a life long resident of Conneaut. After graduation he enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served during World War II, aboard the U.S.S. Robert H. Smith, Destroyer in the Pacific Theater.

Mr. Anderson was the owner of Allied Resinous Products. He was a lifetime member of the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, the American Legion Cowle Post #151 and the Conneaut Lions Club. Keith was also a member of the B.P.O. Elks #256.

Keith loved life, and enjoyed gardening, golfing, chopping wood, mowing the lawn, fishing and traveling to Canada to the family cabin. He was noted for being a generous man and he loved his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He is survived by his children, Diane (Tom) Parks of Conneaut, Linda (Michael) Streva of Greensboro, N.C., Gary (Pamela) Anderson of Conneaut, Gerry (Shelley Gabriel) Anderson of Andover and Chuck Anderson of St. Petersburg, Fla.; grandchildren, Rhiannon McCorkle, Melissa Roshon, Stephanie (Paul) Harris, Gary M. Anderson, Jessica (Tony) Howard, Joshua (Angela) Anderson, Ashley Streva and Denielle Anderson; and great-grandchildren, Jailyn Anderson, Madalyn and Logan Anderson, and Vanessa Howard.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 50 years, Miriam "Mimi" Anderson; sister, Dorothy Malek; and half-sisters, Mildred Stiwald, Kate Ammerman and Ruby King.

Funeral Services will be held 11 a.m., Friday, Jan. 4th, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 876 Grove St., Conneaut, with the Rev. Franklin J. Gore officiating. Burial will follow at Glenwood Cemetery, where Military Rites will be performed by American Legion Cowle Post #151.

Calling Hours will be held from 5 to 8 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 3rd, at THOMPSON-SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 345 Main St., Conneaut.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Abiding Memorial Fund at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church or the East Conneaut Firefighters Association.
