EUCLID — Dorothy Anna Brown formerly of Ashtabula 76, died unexpectedly at her home, Thursday, November 22, 2012.
The daughter of Logan and Ella Rawley, she was born in Mount Airy, North Carolina on March 17, 1936.
On Easter Sunday, April 18, 1952 she married, the “love of her life ”Lawrence Brown, and together they celebrated forty-five years of marriage. In 1956 they moved to Conneaut and in 1974 they built their home in Kingsville, where they raised their children.
She married Frank Pasanen in 2005 and he survives her.
In the last year she moved to Euclid to live with her daughter, Marcella Lyons. Dorothy was a wonderful cook and enjoyed preparing dinners for her family and friends. Her greatest joy was making her house a home. She wanted her home to be a sanctuary to all who entered.
Dorothy will be remembered for her love of family and friends, and strength and dignity during adversity.
She is survived by her husband, Frank Pasanen; daughter, Marcella Lyons of Euclid and her son, Michael (Mary) Brown of Youngstown; grandchildren, Natesha JoElle (Wayne) Lee of Silver Springs, MD, and Lexxus and Michael Brown of Youngstown.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Lawrence; and her parents.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 6:00PM Friday, November, 2012, 2012, Rev. Willie Walford, officiating.
