MIDDLEFIELD — Helen L. Esenwine, age 87, longtime resident of Middlefield, Ohio, passed away Thursday, March 6, 2014, at her residence.
She was born on March 20, 1926, in Troy, Ohio, a daughter of William and Leah (Eggleston) Bartholomew. Helen married Eugene Esenwine on May 24, 1947. They were married 56 years before he died on Oct. 8, 2003.
She was employed at Johnson Rubber and Mercury Plastics. She was a homemaker; an avid reader; and enjoyed doing crossword puzzles.
She will be missed dearly by her friends and family; two sons, Gregg (Jacquelyn) Esenwine of Huntsburg and Marc (Marcy Freidman) Esenwine of South Euclid; five grandchildren, Eric, Bonnie, Melissa, Joshua and John; two great-grandchildren, Michael and Abigail; two sisters, Jean McNish and Shirley (Simon) Yoder, both of Middlefield; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Eugene; her brothers, Stanley, Dale and Lyle; and three sisters, Christine Greenaway, Dorothy Fontanelle and Thelma Marks.
A Graveside Service will be held 11:30 a.m., Tuesday, March 11th, at Middlefield Cemetery, with Pastor D. Ray Mullet, of Burton, Ohio, officiating.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, at RUSSELL FUNERAL SERVICE, 15670 W. High St. (Rt. 87), Middlefield.
