PARKMAN — Charles “Charlie” F. Brokos, 71, of Parkman, Ohio, died Wednesday evening, Nov. 20, 2013, at home with his best friend and wife, Donna (née: Doedderlein), at his side.

A U.S. Air Force veteran, he served during the Cuban Missile Crisis.

Memorial Mass will be celebrated 12 p.m., Saturday, at St. Ambrose Catholic Church, 10692 Freedom St., Garrettsville, Ohio, with Father Leo J. Wehrlin as celebrant. Inurnment will be held in the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery for Veterans in Rittman, Ohio, at later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in memory of Charlie be made to Hospice of the Western Reserve, 17876 St. Clair Ave., Cleveland, Ohio 44110 or to an animal rescue group of your choice.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Best Funeral Home, 15809 Madison Road, Middlefield, Ohio.
