BRADENTON, Fla. — Domenic A. “Mick” Cusano Sr., age 84, of Bradenton, Fla., passed away Wednesday morning, August 7, 2013, at his home.
Born Oct. 13, 1928, in Ashtabula, Ohio, he was the son of John and Carmel (Matrisciano) Cusano. Domenic was a 1947 graduate of Ashtabula High School.
He was employed at Conrail for 42 years in the signal department and was a member of the Brotherhood of Railroad Signalmen. He attended Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Catholic Church in Bradenton, Fla.
Domenic was well known for his love and talent for winemaking, gardening and cooking. He also enjoyed traveling and spending time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife, Jean L. (DiSalvatore) Cusano, whom he married Feb. 18, 1950; three sons, Domenic A. (Rebecca) Cusano Jr. of Chicago, Ill., John M. (Judy) Cusano of Bradenton, Fla. and Ronald D. (Sanders Mishkin) Cusano of Lambertville, N.J.; one daughter, Tina M. Beauchemin of Pembroke, Mass.; two sisters, Lucille Zoratti of Conneaut, Ohio and Marge (Bill) Burton of Austinburg, Ohio; grandchildren, Kevin Cusano, Kristen Fowler, Marc Cusano, Jenna Cusano, Leslie Cusano, Craig Cusano, Lia Beauchemin and Kara Beauchemin; great-grandchildren, Evie, Lucas, Cecilia, Michael, Sophia and Mae Ann; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He shared a special relationship with his cousin, Roy Cusano, of Kingsville, Ohio.
His parents and an infant brother, Anthony, preceded him in death.
Funeral Service will be held 11 a.m., Tuesday, August 13th, at Mt. Carmel Church, 1200 E. 21st St., Ashtabula. Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery.
Calling Hours will be from 9 to 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, at GUERRIERO FUNERAL HOME, 1515 W. 19th St., Ashtabula.
