NORTH EAST, Pa. — Alton Byron Hinman, age 97, of North East and formerly of Conneaut, Ohio, died Wednesday, April 3, 2013, at UPMC Hamot.
He was born on May 19, 1915, in Corry, Pa., to the late Carl A. and Lucy Young Hinman. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during WWII.
Al is survived by his wife of 65 years, Sibyl Millspaw Hinman, whom he married July 11, 1947; son, Jeffrey Hinman and his wife Susan of North East; daughter, Kathe Cheney of Owings Mills, Md.; grandchildren, Tiffany (Andrew) Emerick, Katherine (Christopher) Brown, Jennifer (Ryan) Emerson, and Allison (Ryan) Cullison; and great-grandchildren, Matthew, Brynn and Nathaniel Cullison and Henry Emerson.
Friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service at the First Presbyterian Church, 25 W. Main St., North East on Saturday, May 11th, at 4 p.m., followed by a supper at the church. Family will be present before the Service.
Memorials may be made to the First Presbyterian Church of North East. Funeral arrangements are under the care of the WILLIAM D. ELKIN FUNERAL HOME, 65 S. Lake St., North East.
