GENEVA — Irene I. Rock, age 89, of Geneva, Ohio, passed away Monday, Oct. 14, 2013, at Geneva Village Retirement Community.
Born April 23, 1924, in Bradley, Ohio, she was a daughter of Elizabeth (Szelled) and Joseph Torok. She married George Rock on Nov. 8, 1952, in Smithfield, Ohio.
Irene enjoyed polka and country music. She also enjoyed baking Hungarian pastries and was a Pittsburgh Steelers fan.
She is survived by her daughter, Debra (Brad) Pitzer of Madison; son, Allen (Debra) Rock of Brighton, Mich.; granddaughters, Ashley Pitzer of Cleveland, Jennifer (John) Monroe of Brighton, Mich., Heather (Mike) Hudson of Ganesvoort, N.Y. and Ariel Rock of Los Angeles, Calif.; great-grandchildren, Cannon and Kellan Monroe of Brighton, Mich., Madison and Sean Hudson of Ganesvoort, N.Y.; and brothers, James and Louis Torok, both of Smithfield, Ohio.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George; parents; brothers, John, Andrew, Joseph, Steve, Harry and Julius Torok; and sisters, Elizabeth Torok, Margaret Klapka, Mary Bartek and Bertha Ingler.
Friends will be received 1 to 2 p.m., Friday, Oct. 18th, at THE BEHM FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 26 River St., Madison, Ohio, with a Service following at 2 p.m. Richard Eifert, Chaplain for Harbor Light Hospice, will be officiating. Final resting place will be at Madison Memorial Cemetery in Madison.
