CONNEAUT — Ida May (McFadden) Clemens, age 86, of Conneaut, Ohio, passed away Thursday evening, Oct. 3, 2013, at her home.
Born Nov. 30, 1926, in Conneaut, she was the daughter of Joseph and Ethel (Merrimen) McFadden.
A lifelong area resident, Ida was a homemaker and a member of East Conneaut Baptist Chapel where she was active in Women of the Mission.
She enjoyed bowling, crafts, puzzles, raising roses, photography, making dolls and doll clothes for her grandchildren, and eating ice cream and popsicles with the grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband, William Dale Clemens, whom she married July 24, 1946; three daughters, Rose (Ken Sr.) Ramey of Conneaut, Wilma (Terry) Kern of Conneaut and Dora (Matt) Hannold of North Kingsville, Ohio; three sons, William (Suzette) Clemens of Conneaut, Charles (Nancy) Clemens of Ashtabula and David Clemens of Conneaut; two sisters, Arvina and Joy; 30 grandchildren; and 30-plus great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Joseph, Francis, Charles and Robert; sisters, Catherine Stinehoff, Dorothy Welton, Alice Blanar and Margaret Stoliker; a grandson, Joshua Clemens; and her daughter-in-law, Patricia Clemens.
Funeral Services will be at 11 a.m., Monday, Oct. 7th, at the MARCY FUNERAL HOME, 208 Liberty St., Conneaut, with Mrs. Clemens’ son-in-law, the Rev. Terry Kern, pastor of East Conneaut Baptist Chapel, officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memory Gardens, North Kingsville, Ohio.
Friends may call at the Funeral Home on Sunday, Oct. 6th, from 4 to 6 p.m., and on Monday morning from 10 a.m. until the time of the Service at 11 a.m.
