CLEVELAND — L. "Jane" Rought, age 78, of Ashtabula, Ohio, passed away Thursday, Sept. 19, 2013, at the Cleveland Clinic.
Born in Paris, Ky., on Friday, Oct. 5, 1934, she was the daughter of the late William L. and Thelma L. (Bradburn) Sweeney. On Feb. 13, 1968, she married Charles Rought Jr. in Jefferson, Ohio.
She liked doll making and crocheting.
Survivors include her husband, Charles; children, Jim (Monica) Fletcher of Amherst, Sue (Michael) Castrilla of Ashtabula, Thelma Tobbe of Florida, and Charles Fletcher and David Fletcher, both of Arizona; seven step-children; 15 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her son, Roy Fletcher; and brothers and sister, Roy, Paul, Kenny and Ilene Sweeney and Thomas Hicks.
Calling Hours were held Monday, Sept. 23rd, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the WALKER FUNERAL HOME, 828 Sherman St., Geneva, Ohio.
