CLARIDON TOWNSHIP — Sophia Marie D’Ambrosia, age 1 1/2, of Newbury Township, Ohio, passed away Monday, Oct. 22, 2012, at UHHS Geauga Medical Center, Claridon Township.
Born April 29, 2011, in Claridon Township, Ohio, she was the daughter of Erica D’Ambrosia and Paul Barkley of Newbury Township.
Sophia loved to dance, play and spend time with her cousins. She was a loving child to all her family and friends.
Survivors include her mother, Erica D’Ambrosia of Newbury Township; her father, Paul Barkley of Newbury Township; grandparents, James Cro of Newbury Township, Victoria D’Ambrosia of Newbury Township, and Rhonda Nappo of Chagrin Falls, Ohio; great-grandparents, Vincetta Cro of Middlefield and Nicholas and Beverly D’Ambrosia of Garfield Heights, Ohio; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her great-grandfather, Dominic Cro.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 27th, at St. Helen’s Catholic Church, 12060 Kinsman Road, Newbury Township, with the Rev. Jay McPhillips, of the Church, as celebrant.
Visitation for family and friends will be Friday, Oct. 26th, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the BURR FUNERAL HOME, 116 South St., (Route 44, 500’ south of Route 6/Chardon Square), Chardon. Burial will be in All Souls Cemetery, Chardon Township.
