Alisha Elynne Miranda, age 23, died suddenly on Thursday, Oct. 11, 2012, in Johnston, Ohio.
She was born on August 16, 1989, in Mesa, Ariz., a daughter of Jacelynne Jan (Shilling) and Arthur E. Miranda Sr. Alisha was a 2007 graduate of Pymatuning Valley High School.
She worked for the Andover Dairy Queen for the past eight years. Alisha was an avid golfer and active in the band and golf teams while in school. She was a fan of the New York Giants and loved spending time with her family and friends.
Alisha was preceded in death by her sister, Regina Joann Miranda Robles; grandparents, Josephine Valdez Ormsby and Lambert Ormsby; grandfather, John P. Shilling; and an uncle, Robert W. Shilling.
Survivors include her parents, Jacelynne J. and Arthur E. Miranda Sr. of Andover, Ohio; two sisters, Anissa Miranda of Andover, Ohio and Tracy (Sandy) Gill of Mesa, Ariz.; a brother, Arthur E. (Melissa) Miranda Jr. of Mesa, Ariz.; grandparents, Elynne and Richard Slater of Andover, Ohio; uncle, Douglas Shilling; aunts, Mary (Michael) McNeilly and Susan (Larry) Bayer; and many other aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Calling Hours will be held from 2 to 5 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 14th, at BAUMGARDNER FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICE, 134 Prospect St., Andover, Ohio. A Private Service will be held on Monday.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made by mail, phone, or web to the American Cancer Society, specifically Colorectal Cancer.
