CINCINNATI — Alyce C Springer, age 86, formerly of Conneaut, Ohio, died early Thursday morning, Nov. 8, 2012, at Christ Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Alyce was born, Jan. 21, 1926, in West Palm Beach, Fla., the daughter of Roy and Anna Cool Jones. She was a Conneaut High School, Class of 1943, graduate who went on to marry the love of her life Richard O. Springer on Feb. 13, 1944.
Alyce and Dick lived in Conneaut for a while and then moved to North Miami. In 1974, they moved to Eustis, Fla., where Alyce became the Director of Purchasing for the City of Eustis until they both retired to Lookout Mountain in Mentone, Ala., in 1982. Most recently Alyce moved to the Cincinnati area to be nearer her family.
Alyce enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She was called “Bubbie” by her grandchildren and dearly loved to spend time with them.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Richard Springer; and a brother, Robert Jones.
She is survived by her son, Richard Roy and Diane Springer of Cincinnati; and two grandchildren, Ryan and Tristan Springer and Clay Springer of Chicago, Ill.
A Graveside Service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 10th, at Glenwood Cemetery, Route 20, Conneaut, with the Rev. Robert Leonard, of the Evangelical Hungarian Reform Church, officiating. Burial will follow.
