CLEVELAND — Grace “Anne” Florence, age 69, of Lenox-New Lyme Road, Jefferson, Ohio, died Thursday morning, Feb. 21, 2013, at the Hospice of the Western Reserve in Cleveland.
Born Dec. 20, 1943, in Flatlick, Ky., she was the daughter of the late Harrison and Ellen (Gray) Gambrel. She moved from Lexington, Ky., to Painesville in 19973 and then to Jefferson in 1975. She was married to Russell C. Florence on Dec. 28, 1972, in Chardon.
Mrs. Florence was of the Pentecostal faith. She enjoyed her flower and vegetable gardening and could “grow anything”.
Survivors include her husband, Russell; five children, Robert B. (Carole) Hembree Jr. of Lenox Township, Doris “Lynne” Hembree of Lexington, Ky., Steven D. (Pamela) Hembree of Ashtabula, Rebecca C. (George) Smith and Russell T. Florence, both of Jefferson; nine grandchildren, Nathanael, Elizabeth, Daniel, Katie Rose, Megan, Douglas, Garhett, Johnathan and Haylee; and five siblings, Virgil (Diane) Gambrel of Pineville, Ky., Otto (Martha) Gambrel of Elyria, Billie Jean (Don) Wilder of Baxter, Ky., Charles Ray (Ruth) Gambrel of Pineville, Ky., and Dicy Carolyn Gambrel of Corbin, Ky.
Funeral Services will be held 1 p.m., Monday, Feb. 25th, at the Jefferson Home of the FLEMING & BILLMAN FUNERAL DIRECTORS, INC., 49 W. Jefferson St., Jefferson, with the Pastor Donald Hammer, of the Gateway Church, officiating. Burial will be in Oakdale Cemetery.
Calling Hours will be held Sunday, Feb. 24th, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Funeral Home.
