ASHTABULA — Marilyn M. Oxley, age 80, of Orchard Road, Ashtabula, Ohio, died Wednesday, March 27, 2013, at Carington Park Nursing Home in Ashtabula.
She was born Feb. 11, 1933, in Ashtabula, the daughter of Leslie and Margaret (Thompson) Miller Sr. and has been a lifetime area resident. She was a 1951 graduate of Ashtabula High School.
She was a member of Harris Memorial Presbyterian Church where she was a Deacon and very active in the Women’s group of the church. She was also a member of the Early Americana Antique Club and participated as a Ohio Read Volunteer. She enjoyed crafts, genealogy and spending time with her granddaughters.
Surviving her is a daughter, Sandra (Gary) Pozum of Kingsville; a son, William T. Oxley Jr. of Ashtabula; three granddaughters, Shannon Oxley, Carrie Pozum and Tara Pozum; a sister, Shirley Miller of Ashtabula; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William T. Oxley Sr. in 2008; and a brother, Leslie Miller Jr.
Funeral Service will be 11 a.m., Saturday, March 30th, at the Ashtabula Home of FLEMING & BILLMAN FUNERAL DIRECTORS, 526 W. Prospect Road, Ashtabula, with the Rev. Dr. Stephen Long, of First Presbyterian Church, officiating. Burial will be in Edgewood Cemetery.
Calling Hours will be held from 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, March 29th, at the Funeral Home.
