MESOPTAMIA — Edwin Thomas "Tommy" Sly Jr., age 46, of Mesopotamia, entered eternal rest peacefully Wednesday evening, July 24, 2013, at home surrounded by his loving family after a courageous 2 year battle with cancer.
Tommy was born in Warrensville Heights on February 4, 1967, to Edwin T. Sr. and Janet (Morrison) Sly. He was a lifetime member of Mesopotamia United Methodist Church, and loved to sing and play music.
He will be missed by his parents; grandfather, Wayne Webb; sisters, Debbie (David) Jenkins, Kimberlie Sly and Suzzette (Scott) Hinkle; brother, Kenneth Sly; nieces and nephews, Derrick, David, Jeremy, Zachary, Ethan, Kyle, Andreya and Keyaira; as well as many cousins, aunts, uncles and friends.
Tommy was preceded in death by his grandparents, Walter Morrison, Vera Webb, and Jesse and Emma Sly.
Friends and family will be received from 6 to 8 p.m., TODAY, July 26th, at BEST FUNERAL HOME, 15809 Madison Road, Middlefield, Ohio.
A Memorial Service at the Mespo United Methodist Church will be announced at a later date.
