CLEVELAND — Michael Kopcznski, age 69, of Ashtabula, Ohio, died Tuesday morning, July 16, 2013, at the Cleveland Clinic.
Born June 27, 1944, in Conneautville, Pa., he was the son of the late Penny and Bob Chamberlain.
Mike graduated from Conneaut Valley High School, Class of 1963, and retired from CXS Railroad after 42 years of service.
His hobbies included hunting, fishing, boating and outdoor activities. Mike was a member of Meadville Masonic Lodge #408, Moose, Eagles, Elks, V.F.W., American Legion and the Riverside Yacht Club in Ashtabula.
Survivors include his sons, Mark Kopcznski of Meadville, Pa., Michael (Melanie) Kopcznski Jr. of Alaska and his children, Savannah, Taylor and Allison Kopcznski, and son, Todd Pavlik of Sagertown, Pa., and his children, Trevor and Dustin Pavlik; fiancée, Barb Woodard of Ashtabula; brother, Bobby Chamberlain of Niagara Falls, N.Y.; and former wife, Sandra Lawrence of Alaska.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral Service will be 12:30 p.m. on Friday, July 19th, at GUERRIERO FUNERAL HOME, 1550 West 19th St., Ashtabula, with Deacon Daniel Finnerty, of Our Lady of Peace Parish, officiating. Burial will take place in St. Peters Cemetery in Conneautville, Pa.
Visitation will be on Friday morning from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the Service at the Funeral Home.
