MADISON — Charles “Chuck” Irwin, age 70, a resident of Madison, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2012, at home.
Born Dec. 13, 1941, in Blandburg, Pa., he was a son of the late Edith (Riggs) and Sanford Eugene Irwin. He married Barbara Giffin in Cleveland, Ohio, on August 31, 1963.
Retiring in 2000, Chuck worked at the Perry Power Plant.
Chuck was an avid hunter and enjoyed hunting with his sons, Mike and Jim. He was especially proud of his hunt with Ted Nugent.
He loved working with wood and enjoyed making benches and birdhouses. Chuck had a passion for landscaping and was proud of his flowers. He had an eye for photography, especially nature scenes. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara “Bobbie” Irwin of Madison; daughter, Beth Ann (Lyle) Seiter of Millersburg; two sons, Michael (Gabriella) Irwin of Madison and James (Heather) Irwin of Austinburg; four grandchildren, Megan, Brooke, Katie and Breanna; four great-grandchildren, Landon, Addison, Avery and Maycee; three sisters, Ella Barto of New York, Carol Alich of Virginia and Joyce (Jim) O’Conner of Hartsgrove; two brothers, Rodney (Elaine) Irwin of Newton Falls and Daniel Irwin of Tennessee; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Terry Irwin.
Friends will be received from 4 to 7 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 17th, at THE BEHM FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 26 River St., Madison, Ohio.
