PIERPONT — Harriett L. Hart, age 78, of Pierpont, Ohio, Monroe Township, passed away Friday, Feb. 15, 2013, at Meadville Medical Center, Meadville, Pa.
She was born April 10, 1934, in Monroe Township, Ohio, the daughter of Thomas J. and Lodemia A. (Johnson) Miller.
A lifelong area resident, Harriett had worked as a cook at various places including the Sugar Bowl Restaurant. She loved her family, cooking and baking from scratch, flower gardening, bird watching, and especially loved her two dogs, “Rudy and Rocky.” She enjoyed watching “Wheel of Fortune” and “Jeopardy” on TV. Harriett was a former member of the Monroe Sirens.
Survivors include two sons, Tom Hart and Rich (Debra Suchard) Hart, both of Monroe Township, Ohio; two sisters-in-law, Josephine Miller and Lucile Hart; a brother-in-law, Al McGary; a granddaughter, MacKenzie Suchard; and several nieces, nephews and more distant relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her former husband, Richard Hart; four sisters, Grace Tuttle, Elsie Artman, Laura Crites and Rosemary Woodworth; and three brothers, Donald, Carl and Earl Miller.
Calling Hours will be Tuesday, Feb. 19th, from 4 to 7 p.m., at MARCY FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION CENTER, 208 Liberty St., Conneaut, Ohio, followed by a Service at 7 p.m., with Pastor Les Bolen, of Kelloggsville Church of the Nazarene, officiating.
