Glenn Lewis “Bud” Beardsley Jr., 75, died Sunday, May 11, 2014, at his home.
He was born Feb. 20, 1939, in Conneaut, the son of Glenn L. Beardsley Sr. and Marian (Hayes) Williams. On June 6, 1959, he married the love of his life, Barbara (Meyer) in New Egypt, N.J.
He worked as a technician and electrical engineer, most recently for Vygen and helped his son Mark start M’s Electric. He was very proud of having worked on John Glenn’s missile.
His survivors include his wife of nearly 55 years, Barbara Beardsley; five children, Mark (Lesa) and Kevin (Mary) Beardsley, both of Ashtabula, Steven (Debbie) Beardsley of Ravenna, Renee (Jeff) Wheeler of Conneaut, and Brenda Myers of Kingsville; 11 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; half-sister, Sandy (Wayne) McSpadden of Georgia; and a half-brother, Lee (Tracy) Williams of Florida.
He was preceded in death by his parents; step-mother, Winifred Beardsley; step-father, Elger Williams; half-brothers, Lonnie and Danny Williams; half-sister, Cindy Sutch; and a grandson, Ian Wheeler.
A private family service will be held. Burial will be in Lulu Falls Cemetery, Kingsville Township.
