Garnett E. Mullins, age 80, of Saybrook, Ohio, died on Tuesday morning, May 6, 2014, at the Cleveland Clinic.
Born March 31, 1934, in Yukon, W.Va., he was the son of Eli and Mae (Bailey) Mullins. Garnett has been an area resident since 1953 and on Feb. 3, 1958, he married the form Zelda Blair.
He was retired from Elkem Metals and also worked at Hydro Spray for 15 years.
He was a member of Pentecostal Church of God; he loved the outdoors, camping, fishing, flea markets and garage sales. Garnett loved his family, church and his little dogs “Maggie and Teddy”.
Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Zelda Mullins from Saybrook Township; sons, Michael Mullins of Jefferson and Kenneth (Kim) Mullins of Ashtabula; daughter, Linda (Frank) Slanina of Geneva; 11 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; brother, James Mullins of North Kingsville; and sister, Brenda Fox of Middleburg, Fla.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Jerry and Edward Mullins.
Funeral Service will be 12 p.m., Noon, on Thursday, May 8th, at the Pentecostal Church of God on Cook Road, with Pastor Kenneth Roberts officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memory Gardens.
Visitation will be on Thursday morning, May 8th, at the Church from 11 a.m. until Noon.
