BOWLING GREEN, Va. —
Agnes Helen Lemieux, age 85, formerly of Pierpont, Ohio, passed away Monday, April 28, 2014, at her daughter Leissa’s home where she had lived for the past several years.
She was born June 24, 1928, in Flint, Mich., the daughter of William and Agnes (McIntosh) Welsh and had been a Pierpont resident most of her life. On March 26, 1948, she married James Kelly who was killed in a motorcycle accident on Nov. 21, 1953. She was blessed to find love again and, on March 12, 1955, she married John E. Lemieux.
Prior to her retirement in 1990, she worked 17 years as a press operator for Premix.
A member of the Pierpont Presbyterian Church, she enjoyed serving as a Deacon, volunteering in the church library, reading, and solving crossword puzzles.
Her survivors include four children, James (Pam) Lemieux of Eastlake, Kim Lemieux of Andover, Timothy (Kathryn) Lemieux of South Ridings, Va., and Leissa (Alan) Richardson of Bowling Green, Va.; 11 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Lemieux on May 12, 1993; her brother, Robert Welsh; her sister, Mary Childress; and her parents, William and Agnes Welsh.
Calling Hours will be held from 5 to 7 p.m., Friday, May 2nd, at CHILDS & WILLIAMS FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 96 Route 7, Pierpont.
A Service will be held 10 a.m., Saturday, May 3rd, at Pierpont Presbyterian Church, 71 Route 7, Pierpont, with Pastor Dustin Leimgruber officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Pierpont.
