ASHTABULA — Ann L. Whitman, age 77, of E. 45th St., Ashtabula, Ohio, died Tuesday morning, Feb. 11, 2014, at the Ashtabula County Medical Center.
She was born on August 2, 1936, in Boomer, W.Va., the daughter of Nathan and Mary Louise (Bradshaw) L’Amoreaux.
Ann worked for the Department of Job and Family Services for 22 years.
She enjoyed knitting, crocheting and listening to bluegrass/gospel music. She was also a proud member of the Violet Club.
She is survived by her husband, Millard Whitman of Ashtabula; children, Brenda (Troy) Moody of Alabama, Keith (Anjanette) Whitman of Rocky River and Audra (Timothy) Kirchmeir of Mentor; sister, Gail L’Amoreaux Garcia of Lima, Ohio; brothers, Nathan (Loretta) L’Amoreaux of Conneaut, Harry (Lucille) L’Amoreaux of Ashtabula, Jim (Peggy) L’Amoreaux of Oberlin, Ohio, and William (Mandy) L’Amoreaux of New Jersey; three grandchildren, Anthony Moody, Brittany Whitman and Brendan Whitman; and one great-grandchild, Morgan Moody.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Susan L’Amoreaux Valez and Linda L’Amoreaux.
Funeral Services will be held 11 a.m., Friday, Feb. 14th, at the Ashtabula Home of FLEMING & BILLMAN FUNERAL DIRECTORS & CREMATORY, INC., 526 W. Prospect Road, Ashtabula, with Pastor Greg Gifford, of the Eagleville Bible Church, officiating. Burial will take place in St. Joseph Cemetery.
Calling Hours will be held TODAY, Thursday, Feb. 13th, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Ashtabula Home of FLEMING & BILLMAN FUNERAL DIRECTORS & CREMATORY, INC.
