Beverly H. Williams

ASHTABULA — Beverly Helen Williams, age 59, died unexpectedly at her home on Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2014.

The daughter of Richard and Marian (Derencus) Garuckas, she was born in Cleveland, Ohio, on Oct. 25, 1954. Beverly was a graduate of Mayfield High School. On Nov. 3, 1978, she married Tom Williams and they resided in Mayfield Village until moving to Ashtabula, Ohio, in 1979. Beverly recently received her B.B.A from the University of Phoenix and was looking forward to wonderful opportunities.

Beverly was a member of Our Lady of Peace Parish, St. Joseph Church after moving to Ashtabula.

A woman of many talents, Beverly was an excellent cook, maker of quilts, and wonderful mom and grandma. Her Lithuanian heritage was shared with her friends and family in the foods that she cooked and the cookies that she baked. Her homemade sausage and Christmas cookies were family favorites. She enjoyed crafting and sharing her ideas with others. Beverly enjoyed animals, especially her cats.

Beverly will be remembered for her love of family. She was a wonderful sister, friend, mom and grandma. Her granddaughter, Amelia, was the light of her life. A woman of faith and strength, she will live on in the lives of her family.

Beverly is survived by her husband, Tom Williams of Ashtabula; her daughters, Megan (Matthew) Karwacki of Chicago, Ill., and Jillian Williams of Ashtabula; her granddaughter, Amelia Karwacki of Chicago; brothers, Richard (Patrice) Garuckas of Kirtland Hills, Ohio, and Robert (Diane) Garuckas of Phoenix, Ariz.; and several loving nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her daughters, Patriciane Williams on Oct. 4, 1990, and Sybilanne Williams in infancy; and her parents, Richard and Marian Garuckas.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Peace Parish, St. Joseph Church, 3312 Lake Ave., Ashtabula, on Saturday, Feb. 15th. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery next to her beloved daughters.

No calling hours will be observed.

If desired, contributions in Beverly’s name may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Animal Protective League, 5970 Green Road, Ashtabula, Ohio 44004.
