TOLEDO - - Ann Miniwegen Lacksonen, age 69, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away Monday, July 16, 2007, after an uncontrolled infection took her life. She had survived over two years with stage 4 lung cancer.
Ann was a graduate of Ashtabula High School; had a bachelor's degree in education from The Ohio State University; and had taught kindergarten.
She was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority and was honored with the Founders Alumni Award. Ann was a member of the Maumee Valley Herb Society and had served as an Elder for Christ Presbyterian Church in Toledo.
She enjoyed hiking, skiing, gardening and cooking, and hand-bell ringing.
She is survived by her 103-year-old mother, Ann of Toledo, Ohio; her husband, Jim; four children, Thomas of Menomonie, Wis., Todd of Columbus, Ohio, Ted of Miami, Fla., and daughter, Trina Damas, of Columbus, Ohio; and brother, Jim of Columbus, Ohio. Also surviving are seven grandchildren.
There will be a Memorial Service at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 21, 2007, at Christ Presbyterian Church in Toledo.
ALICE L. GRAY
PAINESVILLE - - Alice L. Gray, age 84, a resident of Painesville, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, July 17, 2007, at Lake West Hospital in Willoughby.
Born August 5, 1922, in Ashtabula, Ohio, she was a daughter of the late Richard B. and Mary (Swanson) Hewitt.
She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, craftwork, ceramics, playing cards, and cooking. She treasured the time spent with her family.
Survivors include two daughters, Janice Burke and Mary (Gene) Mucciarone, both of Painesville; three grandchildren, Mary (Michael) Pepp, John (fiancée, Melissa Tloczynski) Mucciarone, and Michael (fiancée, Tracy Miller) Mucciarone; and two great-grandchildren, George and Abigail.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert "Dan" Gray in 1984; her parents; three brothers, Sam, Norman, and John Hewitt; and three sisters, Marian Severa, Delta Pearson, and Ellen McKean.
Funeral Service will be 11 a.m. on Friday, July 20, 2007, at the SPEAR-MULQUEENY FUNERAL HOME, 667 Mentor Ave., Painesville, Ohio. Burial will be in Mentor Cemetery.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, July 19, 2007, at the Funeral Home.
DORTHA J. CROMWELL
GENEVA - - Dortha June Cromwell, age 85, a resident of Geneva, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, July 17, 2007, at University Hospitals Medical Center in Geneva.
Born Sept. 25, 1921, in Ashtabula, Ohio, she was a daughter of the late Margaret (McDonald) and John M. Cromwell. In 1939, she graduated from Geneva High School and attended Ashtabula Business College.
Originally employed by the Geneva Metal Wheel Company, Geneva, she retired from the Dico Division of Dyneer Corporation in Cartersville, Ga.
She was a member of Park Street Christian Church in Geneva.
Survivors include a brother, Raymond J. (Maria Christine) Cromwell of Madison; two nephews, Larry Dean (Grace) Cromwell of Commerce City, Colo., and Eric James (Kathy) Cromwell of Concord; and two nieces, Sandra Lee Perell of Hamlin, N.Y., and Connie Rae (Donald) Malise of St. Mary, Pa.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, four sisters in infancy, and one nephew.
Friends will be received from 10 to 11 a.m. on Friday, July 20, 2007, at THE BEHM FAMILY FUNERAL HOMES AND CREMATORY, 175 S. Broadway, Geneva, Ohio.
Graveside Service will be 11:30 a.m. Friday at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Rt. 84, Geneva.

ALLAN J. BRINK
ASHTABULA - - Allan J. Brink, age 77, of Ashtabula, Ohio, died Sunday, July 15, 2007, at Geneva Village Retirement Center in Geneva.
Born Feb. 20, 1930, in Cleveland, he was a son of the late Gilbert and Catherine (Bentler) Brink.
Mr. Brink was well known locally and in the Eastern United States as an antique dealer and appraiser. He had worked as a head cook on the Great Lakes with the Hutchinson Line and also in Inland Steel fleet in his younger years.
He belonged to Mother of Sorrows Church in Ashtabula and was also a member of the Northeastern Ohio Antique Dealers Association.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Richard in 2006.
A Memorial Mass will be 10 a.m. on Friday, July 20, 2007, at Mother of Sorrows Church, 1464 W. 6th St. in Ashtabula. Burial will be in Madison Memorial Cemetery.
