DOLORES M. MAKI
SHEFFIELD - - Dolores Mae Maki, age 76, of Route 193, Sheffield Township, died Wednesday, February 7, 2006, at the Ashtabula County Nursing Home.
She was born March 13, 1930, in Sheffield Township, the daughter of Frank and Helen (Shank) Nicka, and has been a lifelong Sheffield Township resident. She married Norman Maki on April 2, 1950.
Mrs. Maki had been employed with Inland Container in Ashtabula, and retired from GE in Conneaut in 1993.
Mrs. Maki was a member of the Gageville United Methodist Church, as well as the Sheffield Star Grange. She collected baskets and Santa Clauses and enjoyed crocheting, gardening, and camping with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband, Norman; her son, Jeff (Theresa) of Sheffield Township; two brothers, Larry (Linda) Nicka of Sheffield Township, and Richard (Anna) Nicka of Wharton, Pennsylvania; four grandchildren, Jason, Heath, Caleb and Jeffra; and seven great-grandchildren, Ryan, Xander, Alana, Taylor, Jason, Korbin and Ava.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Theresa Nicka; and a great-grandchild, Lorna Mae.
Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, February 10, 2007, at the Gageville United Methodist Church, 4063 St. Rte 193, Sheffield Township, with Reverend David Anderson presiding. Burial will follow in Gageville Cemetery.
Calling Hours will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday (tonight), February 9, 2007, at the Jefferson Home of the FLEMING & BILLMAN FUNERAL DIRECTORS, INC., 49 West Jefferson Street, Jefferson, Ohio.

IDA A. ST. ANGELO
ASHTABULA - - Ida A. St. Angelo, a resident of Ashtabula Township, died Sunday, February 4, 2007, in the Ashtabula County Medical Center.
Born August 28, 1932, in Ashtabula, she was the daughter of Fred and Lucia (Garofalo) Fish.
Ida was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church and enjoyed playing bingo.
Survivors include her three sons, Thomas (Sandra) of Ashtabula, Jim of Ashtabula, and Carl of Corona, California; grandchildren, Thomas C. (Christie), Timothy, Ben, Vince, Carl, and Katie; great-granddaughter, Tayrn St. Angelo; a brother, Fred; and two sisters, Josephine Massi and Delores May.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Carl; brothers, Guy and Anthony; and sisters, Viola Byus and Nancy DiGiacomo.
Funeral Services will be held 10 a.m. Friday, February 9, 2007, in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, with burial to take place in St. Joseph Cemetery.
There will be no calling hours.
Donations can be made in her name to American Diabetes Association or Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church.

PIERPONT - - William Miller, age 62, of Pierpont, died early Thursday morning, February 8, 2007, at UH Conneaut Medical Center.
Mr. Miller worked as an HVAC Engineer for Reserve Square Property Management.
Survivors include his wife, Sally (née McBride); children, Roberta (Rick) McClure, Billie Jo (Rodger) Varner, Paul (Stephanie) McBride, Judith Geisman, Christopher (Linda) McBride, and Bill (Sherry) Geisman; 18 grandchildren; his brothers and sisters, Alma Doughty, Ellen (Roy) Webb, Michael (Felicia) Miller, and Maryann (Stanley) McClintock; a sister-in-law, Karen Miller; brothers-in-law, Earl Shackleton and Joe Francey; and numerous nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind his beloved dog and companion, Cricket.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert and Dorothy Miller; brother-in-law, Pete Doughty; sisters, Doris Francey and Rita Shackleton; and brother, Ken Miller.
Funeral Services will be 4 p.m. Saturday, February 10, 2007, at the SAM RITONDARO FUNERAL HOME, 126 South Street (Rt. 44, S of Rt. 6), Chardon, Ohio.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family. Envelopes will be available at the Funeral Home.

MINERAL POINT, WI - - Hugh Evan Whittington, age 88, passed away peacefully at his home in Mineral Point, Wisconsin, on Wednesday, February 7, 2007, after his courageous battle with cancer.
Funeral Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, February 11, 2007, at the FIRST UNITED METHODIST CHURCH in Mineral Point. Burial will be held in Graceland Cemetery with Military Graveside Rites accorded by the Mineral Point VFW and American Legion.
Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday, February 10, 2007, at the GORGEN FUNERAL HOME, 310 Ridge Street, Mineral Point, Wisconsin, where Masonic Services will be held at 7 p.m., conducted by the Mineral Point Masonic Lodge No. 1. Friends may also call from 1 p.m. until the time of services on Sunday at the Church.
In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations to be made to Hospice Care at Upland Hills Health, 800 Compassion Way, Dodgeville, Wisconsin 53533.
