CLARA M. HAKALA
ASHTABULA -- Clara M. Hakala, age 94, of Ashtabula, Ohio, and formerly of Port Charlotte, Florida, and Conneaut, Ohio, died Sunday, March 26, 2006, at the Austinburg Rehabilitation and Nursing Center.
Born May 4, 1911, in Conneaut, she was the daughter of the late Carl R. and Alice (Cornell) Blood. A graduate of Conneaut High School, she attended Miami University in Oxford, Ohio.
She had been employed at Carlisle's Department Store and Farmer Bank in Ashtabula.
Mrs. Hakala was a member of the Second Congregational Church, the Covered Bridge Chapter #591 Order of Eastern Star for over 70 years, the Daughters of the American Revolution, and the Grottoets of Ashtabula.
Surviving her are three daughters, Sarah (Bob) Halman of Ashtabula, Susan (Bob) Bernard of Hackettstown, New Jersey, and Jean (Paul) Tremblay of Avon, Ohio; five grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; three step-great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Paul E. Hakala, in 1989; and a grandson, Bob Halman Jr. in 2004.
Funeral Services will be 11 a.m., Saturday, April 1, 2006, at the Second Congregational Church, 319 Lake Avenue, Ashtabula, Ohio 44004, with Reverend Glen Warner officiating. Burial will be in Edgewood Cemetery.
Calling hours will be from 5 to 7 p.m., Friday, March 31, 2006, at the Ashtabula Home of the FLEMING & BILLMAN FUNERAL DIRECTORS, 526 West Prospect Road, Ashtabula, with an Eastern Star service at 6:45 p.m.

BEREA -- Joyce E. McCamey, age 86, a resident of Berea, Ohio, and formerly of Geneva, Ohio, died Tuesday, March 28, 2006.
Born in Geneva, she is the wife of the late Charles L.; dear mother of Drusilla (Jim) Hoge, David R. (Kelly), and Laurel (Martin) Linn; grandmother of Michael Hoge, Peter Hoge, and Matthew Linn; sister of Sally Robinson, Diana Hunter, and the late Jim Woodward and Don Woodward.
Funeral Services will be held 11 a.m., Saturday, April 1, 2006, at the BAKER OSINSKI KENSINGER FUNERAL HOME, 206 Front St., Berea. Interment will be in Woodvale Cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m., Friday, March 31, 2006, at the Funeral Home.

ASHTABULA -- Mary F. DiMare, age 90, a resident of Ashtabula, Ohio, died Sunday morning, March 26, 2006, at her home.
Born January 15, 1916, in Ashtabula, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Marianna (Chiacchiero) Presciano.
Mrs. DiMare was a member of Saint Joseph Church, and Sons of Italy of America Anita Garibaldi Lodge. She retired from St. Joseph cafeteria.
Survivors include her daughter, Anita M. (Richard A.) Quaranta of Ashtabula; son, Dennis DiMare of Ashtabula; grandchildren, Kerry, Kevin, and Jason Quaranta; great-grandson, Bryce Shellenberger; and brothers, James and Joseph Presciano, both of Ashtabula.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ralph DiMare; sisters, Carmel Zullo and Adeline Peterangelo; and brothers, Mike and Robert Presciano.
A Memorial Mass will be held 11 a.m., Thursday, March 30, 2006, in Saint Joseph Church in Ashtabula.
