ASHTABULA — William E. Coleman, age 57, went home to be with his Lord on Tuesday, Oct. 15, 2013, at the Ashtabula County Medical Center.
Born May 6, 1956, in Louisville, Miss., he was the son of the late Marshall Coleman and Edna Henton. He married the love of his life Irene “Rennie” Barnett on June 23, 1979.
William attended the Union Missionary Baptist Church in Ashtabula. William was an avid Cleveland Browns and Cleveland Indians Fan. He enjoyed barbecuing, watching old Western Movies and listening to Blues Music. A devoted husband, who loved to spend time with his family, he dedicated his life to his wife, his children and his granddaughter. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
William is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Irene “Rennie” Coleman; his sons, William Jr. and Derrick Jermaine Coleman, both of Ashtabula; brothers, Emmitt (Velma) Coleman of Macon, Ga., Joseph (Janis) Coleman and Leo (Annette) Coleman, both of Painesville, and Albert (Tara) Coleman of Ashtabula; sisters, Sarah Stewart of Canton, Ohio, Betty (Bryan) Stewart of Painesville, and Dorothy Coleman of Mississippi; and his cherished granddaughter, Shyanne Nicole Cooper.
William was preceded in death by a daughter, Tyranza Nicole Coleman in infancy; his brothers, Marshall Coleman, Tommy Coleman, Woodrow Coleman, Otis Coleman, and Johnny Coleman; his sisters, Doris Wise and Nancy Brown; and his parents.
Funeral Services will be held 11 a.m., Tuesday, Oct. 22nd, at Union Community Church, 10959 Johnnycake Ridge Road, Concord Township, Ohio 44077, with Pastor Roderick A. Coffee I, Senior Pastor, and Sister Betty Stewart of Painesville officiating. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery in Painesville.
Calling Hours will be held from 5 to 7 p.m., Monday, Oct. 21st, at ZABACK-WIILAIMS-DUCRO FUNERAL HOME, 500 W. Prospect Road, Ashtabula, and on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the time of Service at the Church.
