ASHTABULA — Kelly A. Burns, age 36, of Ashtabula, Ohio, passed away Monday, August 12, 2013, at Ashtabula County Medical Center.
Born Nov. 3, 1976, in Ashtabula, she was the daughter of Karen S. (Waltz) and Marcus J. Burns.
She worked as a Child Care Giver in the Ashtabula area.
Kelly was an extremely generous person, always giving to others in need. She had a feisty side with a spunky attitude, always willing to push the envelope just a little further. She loved her dogs, spending time with her family, and was an avid Steelers fan.
She is survived by her daughter, Chelsea of Ashtabula; her parents, Marcus and Karen Burns of Ashtabula; her sisters, Pastor Tina (Mario) Tagle of Geneva and Laurie Burns of Jefferson; nieces, Rebecca, Haile and Victoria Burns, and Abbigayle Tagle; grandmother, Kathleen Waltz of Madison; and her loving dogs “Spot and Scrappy”.
Kelly was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, George Waltz; and paternal grandparents, Marcus and Mary Burns.
A Celebration of Life will be held 11 a.m., Tuesday, August 20th, at Geneva Church of the Nazarene, 710 Centennial, Geneva. Officiating are Pastor Andy Grimes and Pastor Shirley Deemer.
Friends will be received from 6 to 9 p.m. on Monday, August 19th, at the WALKER FUNERAL HOME, 828 Sherman St., Geneva. Interment will be at Evergreen Cemetery.
